Mr. Le Tri Thanh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City suggested that the Da Nang Trade Union should operate more substantially and in more depth in the new year.

Many good models and methods have been deployed

Attending the conference to summarize the activities of the Trade Union in 2025 and honor 56 "Enterprises that take good care of the lives of workers" organized by the Da Nang City Labor Federation on December 30, Mr. Le Tri Thanh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City gave in-depth comments and instructions on the activities of the City Trade Union organization.

According to Mr. Le Tri Thanh, 2025 is considered a special year, when the world situation continues to develop complicatedly, the global production chain is broken, while the domestic market must both cope with economic difficulties, deploy a two-level local government model and rearrange trade union organizations according to a new model.

At the same time, natural disasters and historic floods have severely affected production and business activities and the lives of workers in the city.

In that context, the efforts of the city's Trade Unions at all levels and the business community are clearly demonstrated. Activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of workers have been maintained and expanded, creating a support for workers to feel secure in sticking with the enterprise, sharing difficulties and overcoming challenges.

In reality, despite facing many pressures, businesses of all economic sectors - from state-owned enterprises, FDI enterprises to private enterprises - still persistently maintain production, while closely coordinating with trade unions to care for workers. Many good models and methods have been deployed, close to practical needs, receiving positive responses from workers.

When natural disasters occurred, the Trade Unions at all levels proactively provided timely support, from spiritual encouragement to material care, helping workers soon stabilize their lives and avoid job losses. This not only helps workers overcome personal difficulties, but also contributes to maintaining the production rhythm of enterprises, especially during the peak months at the end of the year.

We must continue to innovate strongly

Mr. Le Tri Thanh said that entering 2026, the requirement for the Trade Union organization is to continue to innovate strongly, operate more and more substantially, effectively and in depth. The focus is on stabilizing the organization and operating the new model well, avoiding creating gaps that directly affect the rights of workers.

Trade unions are expected to be more closely linked to enterprises, strongly oriented towards the grassroots, especially in industrial parks, clusters and areas with difficult working conditions.

For enterprises that still have unpaid wages, social insurance debts or have not paid good care to female workers, the Trade Union needs to promote its representative voice, coordinate with enterprises to find solutions to resolve and completely handle long-standing problems.

In addition, the coordination between trade unions and other socio-political organizations is considered an important factor to build a safe and friendly working environment, while taking care of workers' lives outside of working hours.

Issues of housing, kindergartens, cultural and sports activities for workers and laborers in boarding houses and apartment buildings continue to be a major task that needs due attention.

On the business side, in the context of the forecasted difficulties that are still long-term, the requirement is stability, proactiveness in adapting and strengthening connectivity in the business community. The harmonious resolution of labor relations through dialogue and through the Trade Union organization is considered the foundation of corporate culture and social responsibility.

Building a corporate brand associated with a business culture, with the city's development aspiration not only being the unique goal of each enterprise, but also a common driving force for Da Nang to continue to develop sustainably.

In that journey, the companionship between the trade union and the enterprise is an important fulcrum for workers to be better cared for, businesses to develop more stably and the city to go further in the new period said Mr. Le Tri Thanh.
