Grassroots trade unions mobilize support for female workers with serious illnesses facing difficulties

On August 24, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that in August 2025, the unit mobilized support for a female union member in difficulty in the company.

The case of Ms. N.T.L (born in 1993). The female worker started working in the company in the production department in April 2023.

In 2024, Ms. N.T.L discovered symptoms of the disease and had to go to the doctor. Doctors discovered that she had stage 5 chronic kidney failure, high blood pressure, and dialysis of the body - artificial kidneys.

After a long period of treatment, the increasing cost of treatment has caused many difficulties for the female worker's family living away from home. Despite her poor health, Ms. L still tries to go to work to maintain her life. However, their income is not enough to cover hospital fees and life expenses.

Understanding the situation of the female worker, the Trade Union issued a letter calling for support to Ms. L. During the mobilization period, cadres, employees, union members and workers in the enterprise have raised more than 202 million VND.

Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that the entire amount had been given to Ms. N.T.L. Hopefully, through the heart of the union and the entire company, there will be more determination for her to strive and overcome the disease.

According to records, in the past time, the Trade Union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. has carried out many campaigns and calls to support union members in difficulty. This has become a good way to support workers in especially difficult circumstances in enterprises. Every time there is an unfortunate accident or serious illness, the grassroots trade union promotes solidarity and "mutual love" to help union members and workers.
