Ca Mau Trade Union: Impressed by the numbers

After merging Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces, the whole Ca Mau province currently has 46,429 union members, operating in 421 grassroots unions. In the period of 2023 - 2025, trade unions at all levels have developed 12,231 new union members, established 107 grassroots unions, achieving and exceeding the targets assigned by the General Confederation. This is an important foundation for the Trade Union to increasingly expand and closely follow the workers.

The work of caring for union members' lives has been implemented synchronously and effectively. Every year, thousands of union members and workers are supported through the programs "Tet Sum Vay", "Union Tet Market", "Union Shelter". Supported 11,014 members in difficult circumstances with a total budget of over VND 7,281 billion. The Trade Union Shelter has mobilized to contribute more than 12 billion VND to support the construction and repair of 292 houses with a total amount of over 12.6 billion VND

Notably, the "Union Meal" program attracted nearly 20,000 union members, contributing to improving shift meals and connecting workers with businesses.

In the field of representation and protection of rights, the Ca Mau Trade Union has increased dialogue and negotiation, improving the quality of collective labor agreements. In the 2023-2025 period, trade unions at all levels organized 116 supervisions and 317 inspections and examinations in coordination, contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations at the grassroots level.

Propaganda and education work continues to be innovated. Over 95% of union members and workers have studied resolutions and legal policies; over 98% of cadres and employees register to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Trade union communication activities are increasingly flexible, adapting to the digital environment.

Another notable figure is 5,094 outstanding union members introduced to the Party by the union, of which 2,528 union members were admitted. This affirms the role of the Trade Union in participating in building the Party and government from the workers and labor movement.

The emulation movement continues to spread widely with over 90% of union members and workers participating. In the field of caring for female workers, more than 67,570 female union members were propagandized and supported; 32 loan projects, with a total cost of nearly 10 billion VND, helped nearly 1,000 female workers improve their livelihoods and stabilize their lives.

The above figures show that the Ca Mau Trade Union is affirming its role as a solid support for union members and workers in the new development stage.
