Ending activities, dissolving 86 grassroots unions in Thai Binh City
Thai Binh - Thai Binh City Labor Federation announced the termination of activities and dissolved 86 affiliated grassroots unions.
On June 4, the Thai Binh City Labor Federation (TPF) held a conference to report the results of union work in the first 5 months of 2025 and announced the decision to dissolve and terminate the activities of grassroots unions (CDCS).
At the conference, the leaders of the Thai Binh City Labor Federation approved the guidance No. 48/HD-LDLD dated May 26, 2025 of the Thai Binh Provincial Labor Federation on the process of dissolving grassroots trade unions and trade unions at the grassroots level; Project No. 05/DA-LDLDLD dated May 22, 2025 of the Provincial Labor Federation on ending the operation of the District and City Labor Federations, the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Trade Union, the Provincial Party Trade Union, the Provincial Government Trade Union and the grassroots trade unions of administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% of salaries from the State budget.
Accordingly, the Thai Binh City Labor Federation announced the decision to dissolve and terminate the activities of 86 trade unions in the administrative and career sector with 2,788 union members directly managed by the unit from June 2, 2025 and transfer 108 trade unions in the enterprise sector with 11,466 union members to the Thai Binh Provincial Labor Federation.

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice President of the Thai Binh Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Thai Duong emphasized: The dissolution of the administrative and career trade unions and the transfer of the enterprise trade unions to the Provincial Federation of Labor is a necessary step, in line with the roadmap for innovation of the organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the current period. Despite many difficulties, we need to identify this as an important political task, which must be implemented seriously, in accordance with the procedures, ensuring the rights and legitimate aspirations of union members and workers".
According to the leader of the Thai Binh Provincial Federation of Labor, the dissolution of the grassroots trade unions in the administrative sector does not mean the termination of activities to care for and protect the rights of cadres, civil servants and public employees. Instead, mass organizations will be consolidated and arranged appropriately in the political system and operate according to a new model under the direction of the Central Government and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
