On November 15, Binh Thanh Commune Police, Tay Ninh Province, said that they had promptly supported a citizen to receive the full amount of more than 137 million VND due to mistakenly transferring it to another person's account, thereby recording the honest actions and responsibility of the wrong recipient.
According to Binh Thanh Commune Police, on November 11, Mr. Phan Minh Hoang (39 years old), residing in Hamlet 61, Binh Thanh Commune, suddenly received more than 137 million VND transferred to his personal account from Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy. Because they did not know each other and did not have any related transactions, Mr. Hoang suspected that this was the money that was mistakenly transferred.
Maintaining a spirit of honesty, Mr. Hoang proactively went to the Commune Police to report the incident, requesting instructions on how to handle it in accordance with regulations.
After receiving the information, Binh Thanh Commune Police coordinated with the bank to verify the information. On November 15, the entire amount was returned by Mr. Hoang to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, who accidentally transferred it by mistake.
