1,000 workers participate in the Southeast Economic Zone Sports Tournament

On the afternoon of July 24, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Southeast Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Sports Tournament of Nghe An province held a draw ceremony, divided groups and disseminated important contents related to the tournament.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen To Long - Deputy Head of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament; along with representatives of members of the Organizing Committee, the referee team and leaders of 32 participating enterprises.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen To Long said: The sports tournament is an annual activity organized by the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board in coordination with the Provincial Labor Federation, to enhance exchanges and connections between businesses and workers in industrial parks.

In particular, this year's tournament is designed to celebrate important events such as: 80 years of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), National Day September 2, 96 years of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025) and 18 years of the establishment of the Management Board of the Dong Nam Nghe An Economic Zone.

With a noble and united sportsmanship, the tournament is a useful playground for workers and laborers, contributing to building a healthy spiritual life, creating cohesion in the working environment, aiming to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.

Mr. Nguyen To Long expressed his wish to receive attention and create conditions from business leaders so that the sports movement in industrial parks in particular and in the whole province in general can develop more and more vibrantly.

This year's tournament brings together nearly 1,000 athletes from 32 businesses, with 27 men's football teams and 20 men's and women's volleyball teams. This is a large number of participating teams, demonstrating the positive response of the units.

At the draw ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the regulations and rules for the competition and disseminated the spirit of sports culture. Representatives of the teams also raised their opinions and questions about the competition format and received full and clear answers from the Organizing Committee. The draw results show that this year's competitions promise to be dramatic and exciting.

The tournament is held in 2 competition clusters: Bac Vinh, VSIP and Nam Cam, WHA, Hoang Mai, Dong Hoi Industrial Clusters.

The opening ceremony of the 2025 Sports Tournament is scheduled to take place at 5:00 p.m. on July 28, 2025 at the stadium of the Vietnam - Korea College of Technology and Industry. Right after the opening ceremony, there will be two opening men's football matches at the Bac Vinh - VSIP cluster, officially starting an exciting and connected season.
