Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awards 1 billion VND in support to workers affected by floods
On the afternoon of November 4, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visited and encouraged union members and workers at 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company, Da Nang. Here, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu and the leaders of the Da Nang City Labor Federation presented 30 gifts, each worth 2 million VND, to union members and workers of 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company.
During the recent heavy rain, 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company had 697 union members affected and suffered heavy property damage. The company's trade union has reported and proposed for the Da Nang City Labor Federation to promptly support.
Speaking after giving gifts, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is very sympathetic to business owners and workers after the huge damage and loss in the recent flood. However, "What we are most happy and assured about is that the Trade Union organizations at all levels of Da Nang city have quickly taken action to grasp and promptly support them mentally and materially to help workers overcome difficulties and losses, and soon return to work and daily life" - Mr. Hieu said.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented support to union members and workers in Da Nang city who suffered losses due to floods with the amount of 1 billion VND.
