Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung - Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor - suggested that trade unions at all levels focus resources on organizing activities to care for Binh Ngo Tet in 2026 for union members and workers to ensure practicality and efficiency.
Wood industry enterprises have difficulty with orders
From the end of July to the beginning of August 2025, the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor organized a survey team to grasp the situation of grassroots trade union activities and the implementation of policies and regimes at enterprises in the footwear and wood industry in the province.
Surveying Dong Phuong Company Limited (Binh Minh commune), the delegation acknowledged the coordination between grassroots trade unions and business leaders in caring for the welfare of union members, especially the model of dormitories and kindergartens serving workers and their children with better learning conditions.
The enterprise also fully implements the regimes and policies according to the provisions of labor law. Labor safety and hygiene, improving the working environment are of interest, creating a comfortable working space for workers. The company's grassroots union also organizes many sports events to help workers entertain and improve their health at work.
At shingmark Vina Co., Ltd. (An Vien commune) with over 3,800 employees, there are currently orders until the end of 2025 and increased recruitment of unskilled workers. In early 2025, the company re-signed a collective labor agreement with many provisions beneficial to employees such as: Increasing mid- shift meal allowances, installing parking lots for pregnant female employees, arranging pregnant employees to work in the department for ease...
In addition to businesses with orders, many other businesses are also facing difficulties. The Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor has also monitored and grasped the situation of grassroots trade union activities and the implementation of regimes and policies at wood enterprises (in Tam Phuoc Industrial Park, Tam Phuoc Ward). At the survey, businesses also reported that the wood industry is currently facing difficulties in orders due to the impact of the world situation, causing orders to decrease and preventing the import of raw materials for production. In particular, from January 2025 to now, the production situation has been more difficult.
Despite difficulties, businesses are still trying to ensure jobs for workers and fully implement policies on wages, social insurance, etc.
Stabilizing labor relations, especially at the end of the year
The monitoring delegation shared difficulties with enterprises regarding the current order situation; at the same time, it was recommended that grassroots trade unions continue to coordinate with enterprise leaders in stabilizing labor and ensuring jobs for workers from now until the end of the year.
In addition, implement welfare care policies to help workers feel secure at work.
