Quang Ninh organizes Tet Reunion for 700 workers in Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. To Xuan Thao - Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation; along with representatives of leaders of departments, branches, localities and a large number of workers.

Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park currently has about 25 businesses operating mainly in the fields of textiles and supporting industries, with 14,000 workers and laborers.

At the program, the Organizing Committee commended 19 typical businesses and units in the industrial park for their positive contributions to caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers.

According to a report by the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, during the 2026 Lunar New Year, trade union levels in the province organized 54 bus trips, awarded 2,299 bus tickets to take union members and workers home for Tet, with a budget of 689.7 million VND.

The Provincial Labor Federation also coordinated to register 5,100 union members and workers to participate in the "Online Trade Union Tet Market" Program organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, with a total amount of 2.55 billion VND (each union member received 1 voucher worth 500,000 VND).

Along with that, the programs "Trade Union Year-end Meal", "Trade Union Year-End Party" continue to be replicated at grassroots trade unions, with a minimum support level of 70,000 VND/person/union member from trade union and professional funds.

At the event, the Organizing Committee presented Tet gifts and support to 700 union members and workers working at Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park.

The lucky draw program attracted the attention of a large number of workers, with 4 gifts of the highest value including 1 TV and 3 refrigerators, directly presented to lucky workers by leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial and local Labor Federations.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung emphasized: In 2025, Quang Ninh marked a strong breakthrough with a growth rate of 11.89% - the highest in the country; the average GRDP in the period 2021-2025 reached 10.4%/year, 1.7 times higher than the national average. These results have the important contribution of the team of workers and laborers throughout the province.

The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor praised the efforts of Quang Ninh trade union levels; and at the same time requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation to continue to advise and lead the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities to meet the requirements in the new situation, focusing on ensuring jobs, wages, and social security; strengthening supervision of the implementation of labor and trade union laws, well implementing grassroots democracy regulations, accompanying businesses to take care of workers' lives.

On the occasion of the New Year, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor called on workers and laborers in Quang Ninh to continue to strive to overcome difficulties, emulate labor production, and complete tasks well, contributing to the sustainable development of businesses, localities and the country.
