Year-end gifts help Lam Dong union members overcome difficulties after floods
Lam Dong - In the last days of the year, many union members still struggled to overcome the consequences of flooding. The attention of the trade union organization has helped them soon stabilize their lives.
On December 27, the Chairmen of the Trade Unions of Phu Thuy Ward and Binh Thuan Ward (Lam Dong Province) said that the units had completed giving support gifts to union members and workers affected by the recent floods.
The gifts were presented by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation and the cooperation of other units.

Authorized by the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor, Mr. Thai Ngoc Son - Chairman of the Phu Thuy Ward Trade Union visited, encouraged and presented 95 cash gifts to union members affected by floods.
The union members who are supported are currently working at grassroots unions located in the ward. The gift giving was done directly, ensuring the right beneficiaries and the right level of damage, helping union members promptly cover living expenses during difficult times.

In Binh Thuan ward, Ms. Le Huynh Thi Hoa Phuong - Chairwoman of the ward's Trade Union said that the unit has completed giving gifts to 100 union members affected by floods. Of which, there are 35 gifts worth 1,000,000 VND/gift and 65 gifts worth 500,000 VND/gift. The level of support is based on the level of property damage of each union member's family, ensuring fairness and practicality.
According to the ward unions, the recent floods have greatly affected the lives of many union members, especially workers. Many families had their houses flooded and their property damaged.

In the context of the end of the year, when spending demand increases, many union member families are having to spend a lot of money to overcome and stabilize their lives after the flood, timely support from the union organization becomes even more meaningful.
Organizing visits and giving gifts not only has the meaning of material support but also of timely spiritual encouragement, clearly demonstrating the role of trade unions in accompanying union members in difficult times. Thereby, helping workers feel more secure and have more motivation to soon overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
