Many cars take miners and their families home to celebrate the New Year

Khe Cham Coal Company, under the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV), organized 14 trips, bringing nearly 500 officers, workers, families, and students who were on internship at the Company back to their hometowns for the 2026 New Year holiday.

The buses depart from Mong Duong (Quang Ninh) to many provinces and cities (according to the old administrative units) such as: Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh... On the last day of the holiday, the bus returned to pick up officers and workers returning to work at the company.

Each vehicle is supplied with drinking water, candy, and fruit to serve passengers along the journey.

Thus, in 2025, Khe Cham Coal Company organized 4 trips with over 70 trips, welcoming over 2,500 officers, workers and their families to visit their hometowns during the holidays.

On the occasion of this New Year's holiday, Ha Long Coal Company also organized 8 trips, bringing 279 workers, laborers and relatives back to their hometowns to celebrate the New Year 2026. The bus routes are arranged to Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and the northern mountainous provinces, such as: Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Dien Bien...

According to the representative of Ha Long Coal Company, the number of workers and employees registering for the New Year this year is low, because many people are waiting for the Lunar New Year 2026, partly because coal companies give workers a day off from December 27, while their children have to study until December 31.

However, the company determined that for every enough person and trip, the company arranged vehicles to take the workers, their families and relatives back to their hometowns.

According to the leader of TKV Trade Union, the organization of cars to pick up and drop off miners and their families and relatives to return home for holidays and Tet has been organized by companies in TKV Group for many years.

Those trips have become a cultural beauty of the unit, respected by workers as a practical "spiritual gift", helping them have a complete vacation before returning to work, with openings or deep underground mines.

Especially during the Lunar New Year, hundreds of cars, carrying tens of thousands of miners and their families and relatives returned to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and then returned to their hometowns to Quang Ninh.

This not only ensures safe and convenient travel for workers but also demonstrates the concern and practical care of the Trade Union organization and business leaders for workers' lives, contributing to connecting the company with workers, spreading the tradition of "discipline and Unity" of miners.
