Mr. Tran Van Thanh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory - said that the unit currently has more than 670 union members.

With the motto "workers are valuable capital", the factory always ensures full implementation of policies and regimes for workers.

The union is the unit that directly supervises the implementation of regulations on working hours and rest hours, ensuring harmony between the needs of union members and workers and production and business requirements.

The trade union also negotiates and signs collective labor agreements with more favorable terms than regulations, such as employees being given a full day's salary break when they are married; participating in health insurance, getting vaccinated against influenza...

In addition, the Trade Union also organizes shuttle buses for workers with suitable pick-up and drop-off points, facilitating travel to the new factory.

Every year, the unit coordinates to organize skills improvement classes, orient goals, build a human resource development roadmap and appropriate incentive policies, helping workers have opportunities to develop their careers and advance their work.

Cultural and sports activities, giving gifts on holidays, giving scholarships to children of workers, or charity programs in disadvantaged localities... are all maintained regularly.

In particular, the Christmas program at the end of the year organized by the Factory Union is always eagerly awaited by union members.

Not only is it a year-end party for all union members and workers, it is also an opportunity for cadres and workers to sit down, share and look back on the achievements after a year of work.

Linking emulation with workers' lives

A special point in the way the Khatoco Khanh Hoa Cigarette Factory Trade Union works is the emulation movements that are not separated from the lives of workers.

In the period of 2020 - 2024, the factory has 6 type A initiatives, 5 type B initiatives, 5 type C initiatives at the Corporation level, along with more than 150 solutions to rationalize production and business recognized.

In 2023 alone, there are 39 rationalized solutions to significantly save costs and improve production efficiency.

The Trade Union also effectively implemented emulation movements associated with welfare projects, typically the Workers' Dinner and relaxation space project at the new Trang E Factory, worth 8.8 billion VND.
