Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor hands over 3 more Trade Union Shelters

On October 7, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor (VFF) held a handover ceremony of the Trade Union Shelter (MACD) to 3 union members in difficult circumstances, continuing the mission of caring for the material and spiritual life of workers.

In Thot Lot Hamlet, Ngu Lac Commune, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented a house to union member Pham Thanh Hai (teacher at Don Chau B Primary School) and two other union members, Kien Thi Thanh (teacher at Sen Hong Kindergarten) and Vo Thi Tu Duy (Woo Sung Global Vina Company Limited).

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Work Committee - said that the construction of Mac D D house is a clear demonstration of the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives of union members.

Up to now, the Provincial Federation of Labor has handed over 53/59 approved houses, each house is supported with 50 million VND from the MacD Fund, the rest is contributed by family, relatives and local authorities.

Timely support helps employees have solid, spacious accommodation, stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind. The MacD donation activity has profound humanitarian meaning, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and support, and is a source of encouragement to help union members overcome difficulties.

The new house is not only a place to shelter from the rain and sun, but also a solid foundation for workers' families to rise up in life and career.

"In the coming time, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to care for the lives, give houses, scholarships, visit workers in difficulty, protect their rights, and ensure that all union members receive timely support," Mr. Tam added.
