More than 100 gifts given to disadvantaged students in Can Tho on the occasion of the new school year
Can Tho - On the occasion of the new school year, more than 100 gifts were given to students in difficult circumstances in Thoi Lai commune.
On August 29, the Women's Union of Thoi Lai commune said that the unit had just coordinated with sponsoring units to organize the program "Give Wings to the Dreams of Going to School", giving many gifts to students in difficult circumstances at schools in the commune.
Thereby, contributing to taking care of students entering the new school year 2025 - 2026. This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
At the program, the Organizing Committee presented more than 100 gifts to students in difficult circumstances in the new school year 2025 - 2026, including: 13 bicycles (worth 2 million VND/ship); 21 scholarships (worth 500,000 VND/gift); 70 gifts (ticks, notebooks, school supplies, shoes, clothes) and 100 books to the Thoi Lai Town Secondary School Library.
The total cost of the activities is more than 100 million VND, sponsored by the JCI Vietnam Youth Union, Hoa Sen Can Tho Volunteer Group, Hiep Tam Volunteer Group, Spa for men - MANNAM Group and other units and benefactors.
In addition, students are also given free consultation and haircuts before entering the new school year.
