On the afternoon of June 25, the Lang Son Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) held a conference to review the activities of the Trade Union in the first 6 months of 2025 and met with full-time Trade Union officials in the area.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Trade Unions at all levels have effectively implemented many activities to care for the lives of union members and workers.

Notable is the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" 2025 program with nearly 8,000 gifts given to union members in difficulty, children of union members orphaned... with a total value of nearly 4 billion VND.

In addition, trade unions at all levels have coordinated with professionals to visit and encourage 45,725 employees on the occasion of Tet with a total budget of nearly 19 billion VND.

Phase 2, dissolve 1,01 grassroots trade unions under the administrative sector and public service units receiving 100% of the State budget; terminate the operations of 13 district, city and block trade unions; restructure the provincial trade union agency from 3 units to 1 unit, which is the Trade Union Working Committee under the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee from July 1, 2025.

In addition, from June 20, 2025, 182 grassroots trade unions with 11,324 union members in the production, business and autonomous service units have been transferred to the Provincial Federation of Labor for direct management.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - acknowledged and commended the outstanding results in trade union work in the past 6 months, especially in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

He also requested the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor to urgently study the method of operating the new organizational model vertically, clearly assign tasks in the Trade Union Working Committee; and promptly develop an action program for the coming period.

Mr. Tung emphasized the importance of innovating the content and methods of Trade Union activities, especially promoting digital transformation; continuing to develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises; strengthening the representative role, practically caring for workers' lives.
