Encouraging and giving gifts to environmental workers working during Tet in Quang Ninh
Quang Ninh - In the afternoon of February 16, the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation organized to encourage and give gifts to environmental workers working throughout Tet in central wards.
The working delegation led by Mr. To Xuan Thao - Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation - visited and encouraged workers of Quang Ninh Urban Environment Investment and Development Joint Stock Company who are performing environmental sanitation tasks in Ha Lam ward.
Currently, Quang Ninh Urban Environment Investment and Development Joint Stock Company has 390 workers and laborers performing tasks of collecting waste and environmental sanitation in Ha Lam, Cao Xanh, and Hong Gai wards.
This Lunar New Year, 100% of the unit's workers work throughout Tet to ensure environmental sanitation and serve the people to welcome the new year.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Van - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union - said that the amount of waste in the last days of the year increased about 3 times compared to normal days. By this afternoon (December 29th of the lunar calendar), the volume of generated waste has been collected and transported out of residential areas, reaching about 60%.
The unit strives to complete the transportation of all domestic waste from the old year out of the residential area before the morning of the 1st day of Tet.
Sharing the hardships of environmental workers, Mr. To Xuan Thao, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, cordially inquired and praised the spirit of responsibility of the team of workers and laborers working in the New Year's transition moment.
Before the moment of New Year's Eve is approaching, the Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation sent New Year greetings to all workers, wishing the workers a happy, healthy, and happy New Year, and continue to successfully complete their assigned tasks, ensuring a bright - green - clean - beautiful urban environment during the Lunar New Year.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 40 gifts (each worth 1 million VND including cash and gifts) to 40 workers on duty. Ha Tu Ward Trade Union also presented 10 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to workers of the company.
