Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Trade Union builds sustainable welfare, motivates union members to stick together

Practical care from the smallest things

Mr. Luu Cong Binh, Head of the A2 Island Protection Team (Hon Noi, Nha Trang Bay) has been with Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company for more than 35 years.

From the bird island protection staff, what makes Mr. Binh work long-term is "the care, sharing and welfare policies that are nurtured over the years".

A representative of the Trade Union of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company said that the enterprise is managing 33 bird islands, 173 bird caves and 26 affiliated units with 3,799 union members, of which 2,089 are female union members.

Inheriting the welfare policies that the Company's Trade Union implemented in previous years, for the 2023-2025 term, the policies are supplemented and implemented synchronously.

Notable include regular health check-ups, organizing domestic and international vacations for union members, building a cafeteria that is both spacious, clean and beautiful and nutritious.

The 2025 "Union Meal" program left many impressions with more than 2,000 meals (from 30,000-50,000 VND/meal) and expressed gratitude to hundreds of long-time employees.

Some departmental trade unions have workers far away, the Trade Union and the Company build collective houses and high-quality shuttle buses to support union members.

Many support policies for female workers have been improved, such as supporting female workers to give birth, increasing rest hours, and increasing allowances for female workers who have to work regularly...

All employees are fully signed contracts, participating in 100% of compulsory insurance and special allowances according to professional nature.

The average income of workers increased from 14.6 million VND/month (2023) to 16 million VND/month in the first 9 months of 2025.

In the process of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus, the Trade Union coordinates with the Board of Directors to organize labor conferences, listen to the concerns, and protect the rights of union members. The recommendations were accepted, ensuring the harmony of interests between businesses and workers.

Each year, the company and the Trade Union spend 12 - 13 billion VND to visit and give Tet gifts to 4,0005,000 union members and workers. The children of workers are comprehensively cared for.

In particular, during the flood in November 2025, the Union and the Company mobilized forces to serve hundreds of hot meals per day; organized volunteer teams to each family to clean, disinfect, repair houses, and give thousands of gifts worth 2 billion VND.

Emulating initiatives to create new momentum

Mr. Bui Tran Thai - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union shared that the Trade Union strongly maintains emulation movements of "Good workers", "Creative workers", occupational safety and hygiene and scientific research.

In 2023-2024 alone, 190 initiatives were recognized, many topics had high practical value. Notable examples include research on the process of producing cosmetics from bird's nest extract, improving machinery to improve productivity...

Many collectives and individuals with high achievements at sports festivals, occupational safety and hygiene competitions, and art contests were commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

The Company's female workers are encouraged to actively participate in scientific research, study at the provincial and state levels; be given opportunities for studying, improve their expertise and political theory.
