Yen Bai Ward Trade Union awards funding to support union members affected by storm No. 10

During the recent storm No. 10, the Yen Bai Ward Trade Union promptly implemented many practical support activities to share difficulties with union members and workers who suffered losses.

The ward union has mobilized philanthropists to donate necessities and prepare 1,620 free meals, and organized visits to 3 businesses and 78 union members affected in terms of assets, houses and health.

In addition, the Ward Union has compiled and proposed that the higher-level union consider supporting more than 250 union members who suffered heavy losses, ensuring their rights, and helping workers overcome difficulties after natural disasters.

Implementing the decision of the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor on supporting union members and workers affected by storm No. 10, the Yen Bai Ward Union organized a donation fund to union members and workers.

Each union member and employee received 1 million VND, drawn from the budget of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
