Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union spreads affection through social security activities

With the motto "units are the center", in 2025, the Nghia Lo Ward Union has implemented many practical social security activities, targeting union members, workers and those in difficult circumstances in the area. Each gift, each program not only provides timely material support but is also a spiritual support, contributing to spreading the spirit of "mutual love" in the community.

During the year, the Ward Union coordinated with the Board of Directors and Executive Boards of 5 grassroots unions to organize the "Union Meal" program for 119 union members, supporting an additional 5.8 million VND from the grassroots union.

The warm meals have contributed to connecting colleagues and spreading the spirit of solidarity in the working environment.

In addition to taking care of life, cultural and sports activities are also of interest. Notably, the organization of 2 Pickleball tournaments to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 and towards the Trade Union Congresses at all levels, creates a vibrant and healthy competitive atmosphere among cadres and union members.

The spirit of affection of the trade union organization is even more clearly demonstrated in difficult times. When storm No. 10 caused damage to 2 union member families and 1 grassroots union, the Ward Union directly visited, encouraged and promptly supported 12 million VND in cash and many necessities.

At the same time, the unit also donated 100kg of rice worth 2 million VND to the Trade Union of Yen Bai Power Development Company when the unit had to temporarily suspend the turbine repair operation.

Caring for children and disadvantaged families continues to be a bright spot. On the occasion of the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival, the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union coordinated to organize Mid-Autumn Festival at 8 grassroots trade unions, 5 schools and 1 residential group, giving 310 gifts worth 27 million VND. The total Mid-Autumn Festival budget in the area reached 480 million VND, of which more than 360 million VND came from socialized sources.

In particular, the program "Zero-dong Kitchen Joins Hands to Fight for Flood" has left a deep impression. During the 5 days (from September 30 to October 4, 2025), the Ward Union coordinated with the Son Thinh Market Union to cook and distribute 5,250 free meals; at the same time, mobilized food and provisions to support people in flooded areas in many localities with a total value of over 585 million VND.

At the same time, the Ward Trade Union continues to connect to support poor households and disadvantaged people through many meaningful activities; at the same time, launching the "Zero-dongles" to welcome the Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union Congress, aiming for regular and sustainable sharing.

Not only taking care of social security, the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union also focuses on strengthening the organization. In the last 6 months of 2025, the unit mobilized the admission of 97 union members, established 2 new grassroots unions; 57/57 grassroots unions completed conferences and congresses on schedule. Union financial revenue by December 23, 2025 reached 120% of the plan assigned by the province.
