Phu Tho Trade Union helps workers settle down
With specific and practical actions, the Phu Tho Provincial Trade Union is gradually realizing the dream of settling down and stabilizing the lives of thousands of workers, helping them feel secure at work and stay with the enterprise for a long time.
18 union members are supported to repair houses
In the last days of the year, in a newly renovated level 4 house, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - a worker at Amo Vina Co., Ltd. could not hide her emotions when welcoming a working group of the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor to visit and give 40 million VND in support from the "Union Shelter" program. "Without the union, my husband and I don't know how long we would dare to think about repairing this dilapidated house," Ms. Hoa choked up.
Similarly, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy - a union member of Seshin Vietnam Co., Ltd. is about to celebrate the traditional New Year in a new, spacious house. Ms. Thuy shared: "The whole family's life depends on my worker salary, which is very difficult. The family has lived in a small, degraded house for a long time but has no conditions to repair it...".
Thanks to the attention and support of the Trade Union organization, Ms. Thuy's family's long-standing dream has come true, she and her husband have built a new house with an area of 80m2, with a flat roof, with a total construction cost of over 285 million VND; of which the Provincial Federation of Labor supported her family with 50 million VND. The union and union members in the company gave many practical gifts, helping her family gradually stabilize their lives.
Ms. Hoa and Ms. Thuy are two of dozens of workers in the area who have been interested in and supported by the Trade Union to build and repair houses in the past time.
In 2025, the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor mobilized employees to support the "Union Shelter" fund with over 324 million VND; supported the construction and repair of 18 new houses for 18 union members in especially difficult circumstances with a total support amount of 540 million VND.
Promoting the role of accompanying workers
Phu Tho currently has more than 300,000 union members and workers in industrial parks. In recent times, trade unions in enterprises have always promoted their role in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees.
According to the leader of the Phu Tho Industrial Park Trade Union, in the context of rising living prices, the lives of a number of workers and laborers still face many difficulties, caring for them is identified as a key and continuous task. From the Lunar New Year and Workers' Month to times of sudden difficulties, trade unions at all levels have promptly taken action.
Programs such as "Tet Sum Vay", "Union Tet Market", "Zero-dong stalls" are widely organized, bringing direct benefits to employees. Not only gifts, they are also a sharing and encouragement so that workers can feel secure in sticking with the enterprise.
Faced with fluctuations in the labor market, especially when some businesses encountered difficulties and cut orders, Phu Tho Trade Union clearly demonstrated its role as a companion to employees. The trade union proactively grasps the situation, promptly supports workers who have lost their jobs, reduces working hours; provides legal advice, and guides procedures to enjoy benefits according to regulations.
In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor coordinates with functional sectors and enterprises to organize training, foster skills, and improve skills for workers, helping workers adapt to new requirements of the labor market.
Mr. Khong Son Thanh - Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in the coming time, the Provincial Trade Union will continue to innovate care methods in a practical and effective direction, focusing on workers in industrial parks, non-state enterprises, and workers in difficult circumstances. Caring for employees is not only about giving gifts and providing immediate support, but also towards sustainability, helping employees feel secure in their work and stay with the enterprise and the Trade Union for a long time, emphasized the Vice President of the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor.
