Flight carrying the wish for reunion of workers far from home
Nghe An - In the afternoon of February 12, at Vinh Airport, the Provincial Labor Federation organized a program to welcome union members and workers returning to their hometowns on flight VN7262 from Ho Chi Minh City.

Trade Union Flight - Spring 2026" is a key activity to support means for workers in difficult circumstances who have not returned to their hometowns for many years or have outstanding achievements in production.
Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; and representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, and sectors.
Behind each ticket is a story of making a living
Most of the union members on the flight were workers working in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces. They are direct workers in factories and enterprises, with limited incomes, and their lives mainly depend on monthly wages.

Many cases face economic difficulties due to family circumstances: some are single mothers, both raising young children and worrying about medical expenses for relatives; some have not returned to their hometown for many years because they prioritize sending money back to their elderly parents; some families are affected by natural disasters and storms, so the economy is even more difficult.
Ms. Vo Thi Thu Huong - a worker at Bericap Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that for many years she has not been able to return to her hometown for Tet because she has to worry about the cost of treating her father's illness and taking care of her young child. "Workers' salaries are only enough to cover living expenses. Every time I think about train and plane tickets for Tet, I hesitate. This year, being supported, I am very touched," she said.
Ms. Dang Thi Hoa, also a worker at this enterprise, is in difficult circumstances when her parents are old and weak, and her younger brother had a serious accident. "For many consecutive years, I have celebrated Tet away from home. Being supported by the Trade Union with a flight back to my hometown on this occasion is a great encouragement for my family," she shared.

Among the union members supported is Ms. Lo Thi Hong (born 1979), a worker working in Ho Chi Minh City. For many years, she has been treated for stage 3 colon cancer, her health has declined, and prolonged hospital fees and medicine costs have caused many difficulties for her family's economy.
Sometimes I think I probably won't be able to return home for Tet this year. Both worried about health and worried about money. Even buying tickets to go home has to be calculated in installments," Ms. Hong shared.

Being supported by the Trade Union with a flight home near Tet, Ms. Hong emotionally said: "This is a very timely help for me. This Tet I just want to go home, have a meal with my family, that's enough to be happy.
According to many workers, travel costs during the Tet holiday increase sharply while year-end spending includes many expenses, making returning home a major pressure for workers away from home.
Hall to A1 is bustling when union members return to their hometowns
At the A1 arrival hall, the program was prepared early with a reception area and Tet gifts. When the flight landed, groups of passengers pulled out suitcases and backpacks, and were greeted, given gifts, and wished Tet by Trade Union officials and delegates.

Mr. Tran Van Minh (worker in the mechanical engineering industry in Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "If I had to arrange air tickets myself this time, it would have been very expensive. Thanks to the Trade Union's support, I registered to return to my hometown. Being welcomed thoughtfully like this, we are even more reassured.
Ms. Vo Thi Thu Huong added: "It's not just a ticket, but also concern. I thank the Trade Union for creating conditions for us to return home on time for Tet.

At the reception area, Trade Union officials support union members to receive gifts, guide them to move, help arrange luggage, and send New Year greetings, wishing union members and their families a joyful and warm Tet.
