In the past 5 years, the two units have effectively completed many important tasks. Political and ideological education work has been diverse with political activities, "Light of the Times" contest to learn about Marxism - movement and Ho Chi Minh's ideology, the journey to the red address, propaganda plays, "Like Consulting" programs attracting hundreds of thousands of young people and employees to participate. Thereby forming a class of young workers with strong political will, attached to the revolutionary cause.

The patriotic emulation movement, the movement "Good workers, creative workers", has created an environment for young workers to improve their skills, professional qualifications, foreign languages, and promote their pioneering role in production and integration.

From the practical activities of the movement, 89 outstanding young workers have won the "Nguyen Van Troi" Award; 118 people have been honored as "Excellent and friendly young cadres, civil servants and public employees", 46 engineers and workers have been honored with the "Ton Duc Thang" Award, 51 grassroots union chairmen have received the "28/7 Award", more than 2,000 union officials have won the title "Our union cadre", more than 75,000 workers have been promoted to worker status and increased salaries.

The work of caring for and accompanying young workers continues to be expanded, spreading to freelance workers, unions, boarding houses, and accommodation areas with a total estimated care value of more than VND 2,343 billion.

The programs "Young workers' bus trip to their hometowns to celebrate Tet", "Tap tinh thuong tinh", "Tet Sum vay" and caring activities on the occasion of Lunar New Year have supported millions of gifts, tens of thousands of bus and air tickets worth nearly VND2,150 billion.

The programs "Forever Workers' Youth Association Day", "Union Member Welfare", and many other models have presented 211 "Union Shelters", 36 "Dream Rooms" to union members and young workers in difficult circumstances with a total value of nearly 7 billion VND; awarded 94,000 Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships with a total value of more than 60 billion VND, "Tet for you" to take care of 1,791 children of workers worth more than 3.3 billion VND ...

Continuing to build strong political will for young workers

At the conference, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union signed a joint program for the 2026 - 2030 period, with a number of key contents such as: Continuing to promote political and legal education, industrial style, building strong political will for young workers in the context of Ho Chi Minh City implementing two-level urban government. Extensively organize patriotic emulation movements, especially the movement "Good workers, creative workers", combined with competitions to improve skills and abilities, thereby creating an environment for young workers to promote their intelligence and aspiration to contribute.

At the same time, strengthen the work of caring for the material and spiritual lives, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of young workers and their children. Continue to build, maintain and improve the quality of Trade Union organizations and Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union at non-state enterprises, associated with Party development in young workers.
