Cao Bang awards funds to support Trade Union Shelters for union members in difficult circumstances
Cao Bang - Union members in difficult circumstances in Quang Uyen commune have just received funding to sponsor the Trade Union Shelter.
On December 16, the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor (CFF) organized a fund-raising ceremony from the "Union Shelter" Fund to union members in difficult circumstances in Dia Duoi hamlet, Quang Uyen commune. The support handover ceremony was attended by Mr. Be Dang Khoa - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
The supported union member is Mr. Dang Van Bay, from the Trade Union of Bao Ngoc Construction and Trading Company Limited. Mr. Bay's family has a low income, degraded housing conditions, and is not safe.
In that situation, the Provincial Federation of Labor decided to support 40 million VND from the Trade Union Shelter Fund to help the family build a new house; at the same time, the grassroots union also supported the advance payment of construction materials.
Mr. Bay's family's house started construction in September 2025, with an area of over 130m2, a total construction cost of about 300 million VND and is currently in the process of completion. It is expected that the project will be completed and put into use before the Lunar New Year 2026.
The "Union Shelter" program is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and sharing of the union organization towards union members and workers with difficult housing circumstances.
Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor has supported the construction of 32 "Union Shelters", contributing to caring for and stabilizing the lives of union members and workers in the area.
