Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary visits and encourages coal workers

The delegation included members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Labor Federation, leaders of departments, branches, Ha Long City and the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV).

At Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company, the Provincial Party Secretary and the working delegation directly went to the -300 furnace to inspect the production at the 1st Exploitation Mechanical Workshop.

This is the unit that operates the synchronous mechanical market with a capacity of 1.2 million tons/year, accounting for about 50% of the company's total output, and is also the largest synchronous mechanical market of TKV today.

Ha Lam Coal is a large-scale, modern underground coal production unit of TKV, with 2 synchronous mechanized mine markets with a capacity of 1.2 million and 600,000 tons/year.

This is also a pioneer in applying automation and automation in production and management to improve productivity, ensure safety and protect the environment.

Thanks to the effective implementation of technological innovation, over the years, the company's raw coal output has always remained at over 2 million tons/year.

In the first 4 months of 2025 alone, the company reached nearly 800,000 tons, expected to reach 2.4 million tons for the whole year. Currently, the unit has 3,450 employees, of which more than 1,500 are miners. The average income is nearly 21 million VND/person/month.

Speaking at the inspection, Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members of TKV, thanked the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches for the coal industry. TKV always focuses on application of mechanization and automation to improve production efficiency, ensure safety, environmental protection and take care of workers' lives. TKV also suggested that the province continue to support and remove difficulties for the coal industry, especially housing issues for workers.

Provincial Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang shared the difficulties and hardships of underground workers and laborers, and acknowledged the spirit of emulation in production labor of the mining team.

The Provincial Party Secretary praised the efforts of Ha Lam Coal in particular and TKV in general in applying science and technology, Mechanization, automation, contributing to reducing resource losses, building modern, green - clean - safe mines.

On the occasion of Workers' Month, Mr. Vu Dai Thang wished all cadres and workers of Ha Lam Coal to continue promoting the tradition of "discipline and Unity" of workers in the Mining area, comprehensively completing production and business targets in 2025. Quang Ninh province will continue to accompany and remove obstacles, especially social security policies such as workers' housing, so that workers can feel secure in their attachment to the profession and the locality.
