Warm hearts with Trade Union meals for technology car drivers

Gia Lai - Trade Union meal is a feeling of being cared for, being recognized for the silent efforts of drivers on each route.

On February 18, Dien Hong Ward Trade Union just organized "Trade Union Year-end Meal" for union members and workers of SPX Pleiku Technology Vehicles Grassroots Trade Union.

During Tet days, when the streets are crowded and bus trips stretch from early morning to late at night, many technology motorbike taxi drivers are still diligently making a living in the sun and wind.

In the midst of that hurried pace of life, a warm meal dedicated to the drivers becomes a meaningful stop, helping them temporarily put aside their daily worries.

Not high-class delicacies, the meal consists only of familiar dishes such as braised pork, hot soup, stir-fried vegetables, and a bowl of white, chewy and fragrant rice. However, for those who travel the streets all year round, eat quickly on the sidewalk or take advantage of the time between two trips, sitting in a cozy space and chatting happily is already precious.

Many drivers shared that they rarely have the opportunity to gather fully all year round, because everyone is busy driving to cover house rent, gasoline costs, living expenses and raising children for schooling.

Mr. Le Van T., a technology driver for more than 3 years, said that his income depends on the number of trips per day, on days when there are no customers, it is considered a shortage of market money. "At the end of the year, spending a lot, there is a lot of pressure. Being able to participate in this meal, I feel warm and have more motivation to drive in the last days of the year," he said.

Another driver confided that the most precious thing is not just a meal or a small gift to bring home, but the feeling of being cared for, being recognized for the silent efforts on each route.

In the bustling atmosphere before the New Year, safe wishes on each trip, wishes for health and luck are exchanged intimately.

Although the meal is simple, it has added faith to the team of technology motorbike taxi drivers, who are contributing to maintaining the pace of urban operation every day, so that they can firmly steer and confidently step into the new year with many hopes.
