350,000 union members and workers are cared for during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year

The program of meeting and giving gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on the evening of January 27.

The program was attended by Politburo Member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang.

At the program, 200 union members and workers in difficult circumstances were given gifts by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, including 1 million VND in cash and a gift worth 300,000 VND.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - emphasized that the meeting program and gift giving to union members and workers is the starting activity of a series of activities to care for union members and workers during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan also thanked union members and workers for their efforts in labor and production in the past time and wished union members and workers to continue to promote the spirit of enthusiastic work to contribute to the development of businesses, the socio-economy of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.

On behalf of union members and workers who received gifts, Ms. Duong Thi Tinh - union member of Lac Ty Co., Ltd. - emotionally said: "Although the lives of most of us workers are still hard and we have to worry about making a living, but with the concern, sharing and practical and thoughtful care for union members and workers from all levels and sectors, especially from the trade union organization every Tet holiday, it has partly helped us have more energy to rise up in life.

Tet gifts are not only of material value but also of profound humanity from the trade union organization, helping workers reduce difficulties and welcome a warm and fulfilling Tet.

This is a great source of encouragement and motivation for each union member and worker to try and constantly strive harder in labor production, as well as in life to join hands to build Ho Chi Minh City into a civilized and modern city; a center of innovation, dynamism, integration leading the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country; actively contributing to the increasingly prosperous development of the country in the new era".

It is known that during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation will give gifts to 350,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 350 billion VND (1 million VND per person) through bank transfers.
