Responsibility of the People's Committee at the commune level for extra teaching

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Article 12, Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning (effective from February 14, 2025) stipulates the responsibility of the People's Committees at the commune level as follows:

1. Coordinate with the Department of Education and Training and relevant agencies to manage the implementation of regulations on extra teaching and learning in the area.

2. Implement the direction of the District People's Committee as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 10 of this Circular.

Clause 3, Article 10 of Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates the Responsibilities of the District People's Committee as follows:

Direct the People's Committees at the commune level to supervise and inspect compliance with legal regulations on working hours, overtime hours and legal regulations on security, order, safety, environmental sanitation, fire prevention and fighting of organizations and individuals teaching and learning extra classes outside of school in the area.

Thus, the People's Committees at the commune level have the above responsibility for additional teaching.
