Article 22 of the Law on Teachers (effective from January 1, 2026) stipulates the assessment of teachers as follows:

1. Teachers are assessed periodically every year or every school year; assess when changing job positions, appointment, dismissal, planning, training, fostering, considering rewards, disciplining and implementing other regimes and policies according to the provisions of law and the regulations of educational institutions.

2. The content of the assessment for teachers according to teacher's professional standards and other relevant legal provisions.

3. The process and procedures for evaluating teachers in public educational institutions shall comply with the provisions of the law on civil servants and other relevant legal provisions; the process and procedures for evaluating teachers in non-public educational institutions shall comply with the provisions of the educational institution.

4. The Government shall detail Clause 2 of this Article.

Thus, from January 1, 2026, the assessment of teachers is regulated as above.
