11 contents of teacher management in educational institutions

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 1, Article 39 of the 2025 Law on Teachers (effective from January 1, 2026) stipulates the content of teacher management in educational institutions, including:

a) Develop a teacher development plan, job position project;

b) Recruitment according to assigned authority, signing contracts, terminating contracts, and resolving termination of employment for teachers;

c) Appointment or change of teacher title;

d) Evaluation of teachers;

d) Arrange, assign and use teachers;

e) Implement temporary suspension of teaching for teachers; reward and discipline teachers;

g) Implement salary regime, policies on treatment, support, attraction, and promotion of teachers; teacher training and fostering regime;

h) Develop and manage data on teachers; implement the reporting regime on teachers;

i) Create a favorable and safe environment for teachers' professional activities;

k) Internal inspection, handling complaints and denunciations against teachers;

l) Other content as prescribed by law.

Thus, the contents of teacher management in educational institutions are regulated as above.
