Places where vehicles are not allowed to be stopped or parked during Tet

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 4, Article 18 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024 (effective from January 1, 2025) stipulates that drivers of vehicles participating in road traffic are not allowed to stop or park at the following locations:

a) The left side of the road in one direction;

b) On a curved road or near the end of a slope where visibility is obstructed;

c) On the bridge, except in cases where traffic organization permits;

d) Underpass, except for places where parking is allowed;

dd) In the same direction as another vehicle that is stopped or parked on the road;

e) From a car parked in the wrong direction for less than 20 meters on a narrow street,

under 40 meters on the road with a lane for motor vehicles in one direction;

g) On the pedestrian section;

h) Where the road intersects and within 05 meters from the edge of the intersection;

i) pick-up and drop-off points;

k) In front of the gate and within 05 meters on both sides of the gate of the headquarters of the agency or organization, there are roads for vehicles to enter and exit;

l) In places where the road is only wide enough for one lane for motor vehicles;

m) Within the safety of the railway;

n) Hiding road signs and traffic lights;

o) On roads reserved for buses, on drainage manholes, underpasses of phone lines, high-voltage power lines, and places reserved for fire trucks to collect water; on roads and sidewalks in violation of the law.

Thus, during the 2025 Lunar New Year, vehicles cannot be stopped or parked at the above locations.
