Priority selected subjects to participate in protecting security and order at the grassroots level

Article 15 of the Law on Forces Participating in Security and Order Protection at the Grassroots Level stipulates the selection of members of the Security and Order Protection Team as follows:

1. Based on the requirements of ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, the Commune-level Police are responsible for advising the People's Committees at the same level to develop a plan and organize the selection of members of the Security and Order Protection Team to ensure standards and conditions, in accordance with the provisions of Clause 4, Article 14 of this Law.

2. The selection of members of the Security and Order Protection Team must be public, democratic, and in accordance with the provisions of law.

3. Priority is given to selecting citizens who have served in the People's Public Security, the People's Army, and the Part-time Commune Police who have completed their duties, citizens who are knowledgeable about customs and practices, have prestige in the community, or have participated in the force to protect security and order at the grassroots level.

4. The Minister of Public Security stipulates the dossier, order, and procedures for selecting members of the Security and Order Protection Team.

Thus, citizens who have served in the People's Public Security, the People's Army, and the Part-time Commune Police have completed their duties, citizens who are knowledgeable about customs and practices, have prestige in the community, or have participated in the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level are given priority to be selected to join this force.
