The competent authority decides on the number of commune-level agricultural extension civil servants
Regulations on the number of civil servants promoted to the commune level are based on Circular 60/2025/TT-BNNMT.
According to Article 3 of Circular 60/2025/TT-BNNMT (effective from October 15, 2025), public service units implementing agricultural promotion at the commune level are public service units with the function of providing basic and essential public services under the People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones, assigned to perform agricultural promotion tasks at the commune level for communes, wards and special zones with agricultural production.
The operating budget of the commune-level agricultural promotion is implemented in accordance with the provisions of law.
For commune-level agricultural promotion officials, the Circular stipulates:
Based on the production scale, specific conditions of each locality and the staffing quota assigned by the local government at the provincial level, the People's Council at the commune level decides on the number of commune-level agricultural extension officers in accordance with the requirements of the task.
Recruitment, use and management of commune-level agricultural extension officials according to job positions and legal regulations.
