Super commune becomes a potential labor center at the northern gateway of Hanoi

Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong - Vice Chairman of Dong Anh Commune People's Committee - said that vocational training and job creation are core issues, playing an important role in stabilizing people's lives and developing the local economy. Therefore, in early November, Dong Anh commune coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs to organize a Job Fair with more than 2,180 recruitment targets in many diverse occupations, from sales staff, engineers, sewing workers to unskilled workers, opening up real opportunities for people.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong suggested that recruiting enterprises need to provide clear and transparent information and build a professional working environment with reasonable treatment to attract and retain workers, while encouraging priority on-site labor recruitment for new projects in the area.

Appreciating the potential of the area, Mr. Nguyen Tay Nam - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs - affirmed that Dong Anh is a bright spot in labor. After the merger, Dong Anh became a super commune with a population of up to 173,000 people and more than 2,000 operating enterprises. The strategic location connects Hanoi with the northern provinces, along with the development orientation of high-tech industry and logistics, turning this place into a promising labor market.

In the plan to arrange the city's satellite job exchanges, the Hanoi People's Committee has approved an adjustment from 15 current satellite job exchanges to 9 exchanges.

Of which, there are two floors located in the north of the city, in Dong Anh and Soc Son. That shows that the potential and ability to develop the labor market in this area is still very large, Mr. Nam analyzed.

According to the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs, in the first 10 months of 2025, Hanoi has created jobs for nearly 196,000 workers, exceeding the annual plan by 15.7%. This shows the effectiveness of support policies, connecting labor supply and demand, ensuring uninterrupted employment even during the period of administrative restructuring.

Mr. Nguyen Tay Nam also said that organizing job fairs in Dong Anh is a strategic step, demonstrating the deep concern of authorities at all levels to awaken and maximize labor potential at the northern gateway of the capital, contributing to sustainable overall development.
