Female workers account for 60% of unemployment insurance beneficiaries in Hanoi

According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in December 2025, the number of people applying for unemployment benefits decreased compared to January (from 5,730 records to 4,428 records), the number of people with decisions to receive unemployment benefits also decreased (from 5,660 to 5,066 cases).

Regarding the structure of workers receiving subsidies, female workers continue to account for the majority with about 60% of the total number of people approved to pay, a slight increase compared to November 2025. In terms of age, the golden age group of workers (from 25 to 40 years old) is still the group with the largest proportion (accounting for 62.4%), showing that this is the group that continues to suffer the most fluctuations in the market.

However, a notable trend is that the number of people receiving benefits in the age group over 40 continues to be high (accounting for 29.4%). This increase shows that job pressure is spreading to middle-aged workers, who are easily eliminated due to the pressure of information technology networks and the application of AI, automation into the work of businesses.
