Hanoi sharply increases recruitment demand in high-tech economic sectors
According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in September 2025, the city will sharply increase the demand for recruiting human resources in the high-tech economic sector.
The Hanoi Employment Service Center said that in September 2025, the capital will have 36,000 people looking for jobs.
Regarding the structure of industries, recruitment demand in September had clear changes, reflecting the shift in the economic growth drivers of the capital. While the industry group "other activities and services" continues to affirm its pivotal role as the largest proportion and increases slightly to 56.53%, the manufacturing and construction sectors have shown a clear downward trend.
Accordingly, the human resource demand of the "industry, processing and manufacturing" industry has decreased significantly from 19.08% in August to 15.56%. Similarly, the "construction" industry also decreased from 9.26% to only 6.25%.
However, the market's surprising bright spot came from an in-depth field, which was the " wholesale of electronic and telecommunications equipment and components", with a skyrocketing demand for recruitment, from 1.87% in August 2025 to 6.11% in September 2025, showing the strong rise of some economic sectors with high technology content.
According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, considering the requirements for qualifications, the labor market in September 2025 witnessed a strong restructuring, showing a clear priority trend for vocational training workers. The recruitment demand for unskilled workers (normal workers) has decreased from 23.06% in August 2025 to only 17.7% in September 2025.
In contrast, the demand for human resources with intermediate qualifications has grown strongly, from 12.63% in August 2025 to 17.42% in September 2025 - becoming one of the most sought-after groups.
This shift strongly affirms the trend of businesses focusing on recruiting high-quality positions, requiring extensive expertise and experience, and being willing to offer attractive treatment to attract and retain talent, instead of massive recruitment in the low-paid labor segment, said Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center.
