On November 27, the Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai province coordinated with units to organize a seminar to connect supply and demand in the labor market of Dong Nai province.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dinh - Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai province said: Dong Nai province has the fourth largest economy in the country, playing a central role in the key economic region in the South, and is also an important inter-regional trading gateway.
In addition, the province's transport infrastructure system is diverse and modern, connecting using multiple methods including aviation, road, rail and waterway. Notable among them are Long Thanh International Airport and Phuoc An Port, creating a strategic advantage in attracting investment and developing Vietnam's leading logistics services, and being an attractive destination for investment capital and high-quality human resources in the coming time.
According to the report of the Employment Service Center, recently in Dong Nai province, there have been 5,657 businesses registering to recruit 139,331 workers. In particular, the Long Thanh airport project is preparing to operate and neighboring supporting industries are attracting a large number of high-quality human resources.
Also according to the provincial Department of Home Affairs, Long Thanh International Airport is expected to officially come into operation in 2026, along with the formation of Long Thanh Airport Urban Area and Free Trade Zone, which are considered the core development driving force of the province in the coming period, along with the synchronous implementation of solutions to promote the disbursement of public investment capital.
It is expected that the labor market in Dong Nai province will continue to be vibrant in 2026. It is forecasted that the demand for labor recruitment in the whole province in the coming time will need about 55,000 workers, especially in the fields of industry, construction, services and logistics.
High shortage of technical labor
According to the Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai province, the current shortage of high-tech labor is still common. Especially for high-tech industries, software engineers, automation, robot control, supply chain management.
In recent times, although the supply of workers with degrees and certificates in the province has increased significantly, the quality and practical skills of workers are not uniform, and their ability to adapt to the actual working environment is still limited.
Meanwhile, the labor shortage in industrial parks in the final period of 2025 is estimated at about 35,621 people, mainly concentrated in the group of technical workers and skilled workers.
In general, the gap between labor supply and demand in the province is still large, especially in the group of technical workers and highly skilled workers.
This raises an urgent need to adjust the vocational training structure, more closely link educational institutions and training institutions with enterprises, while strengthening forecasting and orientation for human resource development to meet the needs of the labor market in the coming period.
According to statistics, the demand for labor recruitment is divided into occupational groups.
