Son La - On the afternoon of September 10, in Met Sai village, Yen Chau commune, Yen Chau Shoe Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony of the Shoe Production and Processing Factory.

The project has a total investment of nearly 50 billion VND, built on an area of 2.32 hectares with main items including 2 factory areas, administrative areas, parking lots and auxiliary works.

When fully operated, the factory is expected to employ more than 2,000 workers, with an average income of 4 - 6 million VND/person/month.

According to the plan, in phase 1 (2025 - 2030), the factory will reach a capacity of about 600,000 products/year, and after 2030, it will increase to nearly 1 million products/year.

Currently, the factory has completed the items of phase 1, installed 300 modern machines and put into stable production, creating regular jobs for over 450 workers.

Mr. Doan Xuan Ngoc - Chairman of Yen Chau Commune People's Committee said that during the implementation process, Son La Provincial People's Committee, Yen Chau Commune and departments and branches of the province have actively supported and removed difficulties in land procedures, construction, and environment, helping the project to be completed on schedule.

In parallel with construction, labor recruitment and training work is also widely organized in communes. Many workers are trained at production facilities in Phu Yen and Hanoi.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh - Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee suggested that Yen Chau Shoes Company continue to operate effectively, ensuring the rights of workers.
