Can Tho recruits more than 7,700 jobs
According to a survey by the Can Tho City Employment Service Center (DVVL), the demand for labor recruitment of businesses in the area is on the rise, especially at the end of the year. As of December 24, the city has 52 businesses in need of recruitment, with more than 7,700 vacant positions.
Recruiting a large number of unskilled workers
The company focuses on recruitment in the groups of industries of production, processing, trade - services and seasonal work. The center is accepting positions with large recruitment needs such as 4,000 unskilled workers, 500 production workers, 400 assemblers, 300 sewing workers...
Ms. Tran Thi Kim Loan - Recruitment and Training Department of TKG Taekwang Can Tho Company Limited - informed that the company is in need of recruiting 1,000 unskilled workers.
In addition to salary, the company builds a diverse allowance system from housing, travel to production support, raising children under 6 years old... On holidays and Tet, workers will also receive bonuses according to regulations. Notably, this enterprise is willing to accept unskilled workers for free training.
"Although at the end of the year, workers are often afraid to change jobs, thanks to job fairs organized by the City Employment Service Center, we can still connect with many potential candidates. Our requirements for unskilled workers are quite simple, just need to know how to read and write, be of working age, have good health and do not require experience. The company has a training program, paired with new employees until they are proficient in the job, said Ms. Loan.
Ms. Ha Thi Cam Nhung - Manager of ITADA Spicy Bread System (Mac Thien Tich branch) said that the unit is recruiting about 60 personnel for the Tet season with high salaries per day. During peak days from the 29th to the 4th of Tet, the salary is up to 40,000 VND/hour with food bags. In particular, if they do well and want to stick with the job, the system will prioritize retaining personnel during this time to work long-term.
At Co.opmart Can Tho Company Limited, the recruitment demand is also wide-reaching from sales staff, warehouses, security guards to the Marketing department.
Ms. Le Hoang Dung - Human resource organization specialist of the unit - said that the salary for unskilled workers fluctuates around 5.5 million VND/month. Application age is from 20-45 years old, depending on the department.
Promoting supply-demand connectivity
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Employment Service Center - informed that the unit is currently strengthening connections with businesses to diversify recruitment positions, especially seasonal jobs, creating conditions for workers to increase their income at the end of the year.
"The unit has increased extensive propaganda through the center's communication channels. Thereby, helping local workers access safe job information, avoiding the situation of bad actors taking advantage, implementing the low- salary trap," said Ms. Chung.

In the first quarter of 2026, Can Tho City Employment Service Center forecasts that recruitment demand will continue to increase, focusing on a number of areas such as retail and services (sales staff, revenue, event support, consultants, delivery, service...), production and logistics (seasonal production workers, packaging, warehousing, goods delivery), information technology (technical support, application development), finance - banking (service delivery, financial consultants), health and social services (medical staff, nurses)...
