According to Manpower Company, in 2026, soft skills will narrow their role when only 4/12 industries mention soft skills among the most sought-after skills by businesses, down from 2025 (6/12 industries).
This change in recruitment trends reflects the increasing trend of prioritizing the search for personnel with solid expertise in 2026 to promote growth.
The demand for human resources for digital transformation has increased sharply in all industries
Accordingly, skills related to technology, digitalization, and automation appeared in the top skills sought by employers in 8/12 industries (an increase of 3 industries compared to last year).
Manpower Company said that the digital transformation trend will be most clearly demonstrated in the following industries: Finance & Banking, Energy & Oil and Gas, Logistics & Supply Chains and Production & Engineering.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) promises many development potential and creates value for businesses. In Vietnam, the application of AI is not new, but is expected to explode more strongly in 2026. AI is expected to optimize operating processes, increase productivity, enhance customer experience, and promote innovation. In particular, sectors such as finance - banking, tourism & hospitality, logistics & supply chains will be the industries that benefit greatly from this development.
