5,027 people benefit from unemployment insurance in January 2026 in Hanoi

On February 8, the Hanoi Employment Service Center said that in January 2026, the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs issued decisions to enjoy unemployment insurance for 5,027 people with a support amount of 196.85 billion VND; 4,935 workers receiving unemployment insurance benefits were consulted and introduced to jobs; vocational training support for 95 people with an amount of 362 million VND.

Previously, in December 2025, the Hanoi Employment Service Center received 4,428 applications for UI benefits (down 1,302 cases compared to November 2025), appraised and issued decisions to receive unemployment benefits for 5,606 cases (down 594 applications compared to November 2025) with a support amount of 196.6 billion VND.

In January 2026, the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs issued a decision to establish 9 satellite job transaction floors under the Hanoi Employment Service Center. The Hanoi Employment Service Center organized 23 job transaction sessions with 667 units, businesses and 5,968 workers registered to participate. As a result, 1,383 workers were interviewed and 1,383 workers were recruited at the session.

In December 2025, the Hanoi Employment Service Center provided advice on employment, vocational training, unemployment insurance and labor law policies to 39,098 workers, 1,655 businesses; introduced jobs to 5,830 people. The Center organized 2 job transaction sessions with 750 units participating in recruitment, a total of 10,627 recruitment and enrollment targets; 5,233 workers were interviewed at the transaction sessions, 1,773 workers were received and recruited at the sessions.
