The account suddenly had 20 million VND, the police helped find the person who transferred the goods by mistake in Phu Quoc
An Giang - Ms. Thuy has fully refunded the amount of 20 million VND to the person who mistakenly transferred it, Ms. Manh, residing in Phu Quoc special area.
On August 8, Chi Lang Ward Police (An Giang Province) said that the unit had just coordinated to support a case of people voluntarily returning 20 million VND that someone else had mistakenly transferred to their personal accounts.
Previously, on July 29, 2025, Ms. Tran Thi Bich Thuy (born in 1992, residing in Chi Lang ward) suddenly received a notice from the bank about her account receiving 20 million VND, with the transfer content stating "Nguyen Thi Manh chuyen tien".
Determining that she did not know and did not have any transactions related to this person, Ms. Thuy proactively went to Chi Lang Ward Police to report the incident.
Under the guidance of the police force and support from related banking units, the information of the person who transferred the goods by mistake was verified.
At the headquarters of Chi Lang Ward Police, Ms. Tran Thi Bich Thuy fully refunded the money to the person who mistakenly transferred it, Ms. Nguyen Thi Manh (born in 1977, residing in Phu Quoc Special Zone, An Giang Province).
