Yen Bai Ward Trade Union spreads the value of ao dai through the 2026 photo contest

Lao Cai - The contest attracted 80 contestants from 18 grassroots trade unions, contributing to honoring the beauty of women in traditional ao dai.

On July 11, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation informed that the Yen Bai Ward Trade Union had just held a summary and award ceremony for the photo contest "Charming ao dai of female union members and workers in Yen Bai ward" in 2026.

The contest was launched on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026), to honor the beauty of female union members and workers in traditional ao dai, while contributing to preserving and spreading national cultural values.

After the launching period, the Organizing Committee received 80 entries from contestants from 18 affiliated grassroots trade unions. Many units have 12-15 union members participating, showing positive response to the activities launched by the trade union organization.

According to the Organizing Committee, many photo sets have been elaborately invested in terms of ideas, layout and image quality, and setting selection at agencies, businesses, historical sites, and scenic spots in Lao Cai province.

The works not only honor the beauty of women in ao dai but also reflect the image of dynamic, confident, and responsible female union members in labor, work and life.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 4 Consolation Prizes and 7 sub-prizes to individuals with outstanding works.

In the collective content, the first prize belonged to the grassroots Trade Union of Hoa Binh Co., Ltd.; the second prize was awarded to the grassroots Trade Union of International Friendship Joint Stock Company; the third prize belonged to the grassroots Trade Union of Yen Bai Construction and Transport Joint Stock Company; the consolation prize belonged to the grassroots Trade Union of Yen Bai Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Chairwoman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation - praised the proactiveness and creativity of the Yen Bai Ward Trade Union in organizing a cultural playground for female union members and workers.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem, the contest not only honors the beauty of Vietnamese women in traditional ao dai but also creates opportunities for union members and workers to exchange and connect.
