LD26005: Stage 3 breast cancer, single mother strangles one leg of her pet
Ms. Thao Vi currently has stage 3 malignant breast cancer, the duodenum has metastasized, and the possibility of successful surgery is very low.
Ms. Nguyen Thao Vi (born in 1989, residing in Hamlet 2, Tan Bien Commune, Tay Ninh Province) was orphaned since childhood, living up to her aunt. At the age of 16, she had a leg injury. Thinking it was just a common disease, the family took her to see a doctor and gave her her herbal medicine according to the usual practice in the countryside.
However, the disease did not subside but became more and more severe. When she was transferred to a provincial hospital and then continued to an oncology hospital, the doctors concluded that she had bone cancer and had to have her right leg amputated to save her life.
"Listening to the doctor's consultation, I was stunned, but there was nothing else I could do. I had to amputate my right leg to survive, Thao Vi choked up as she recalled.

After a long surgery and chemotherapy, she was lucky to overcome the barrier of life and death. However, as her aunt's health grew older and weakened, Thao Vi had to take care of her own life.
During this period, she found love and had hoped for a home. But when she was pregnant, her boyfriend and his family turned their backs and did not admit the child. She decided to have children alone and work enough jobs to raise her son.
The tragedy did not stop there. Not long ago, Ms. Thao Vi felt chest pain. The examination results showed that she had stage 3 malignant breast cancer, the duodenum had metastasized, and the possibility of successful surgery was very low. She had to continue chemotherapy and long-term monitoring of her condition.
"The family situation is difficult, sometimes I want to give up, give up, but thinking about my young son who does not have both paternal and maternal grandparents to rely on, I have to try to survive. If I had gone, I would know where to stay. Therefore, I have to try to live longer for my son to grow up, I can make a living on my own and I will feel more secure, Thao Vi sadly said.

Sharing more about her economic situation, she said that she used to have a stable house. However, after many years of trading on the sidewalk to make a living, hoping to improve her life, she borrowed money from a bank to open a clothing store and then do bear business but continuously suffered losses. At the age of 33, she was forced to sell her house to pay off debts, then rented a room to live.
"I am currently 37 years old, seriously ill, no money left, I just love my son for following his mother's sufferings. I am now undergoing treatment and have taken chemotherapy until the second prescription. Fortunately, there is poor insurance so there is a cost savings, but the price of medicine alone is more than 700,000 VND.
The doctor said I needed surgery to place a heart cell on my chest to get medicine, which cost more than 3 million VND. I have to pay for this amount myself, but now that I am suffering from illness and not healthy, I cannot work.
Before, when I was healthy, I made flowers on holidays to earn money to cover my living expenses, now my health is poor, I don't work enough to cover my living expenses, let alone the cost of surgery, thinking about it, I feel helpless. In the following days, I really don't know what to do anymore, I hope the benefactors will pay attention," said Ms. Thao Vi.
