Connecting Spring - Loving Tet" brings more than 1,000 gifts to poor households
Quang Tri - The program "Spring Connection - Loving Tet" awarded 1,027 gifts to households in difficult circumstances in Hoa Trach commune on the occasion of the new Spring.
On February 13, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Trach commune (Quang Tri province) said that it had just organized the program "Spring Connection - Loving Tet", giving gifts to households in difficult circumstances and vulnerable people in the area.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Minh Duc - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hoa Trach commune emphasized that caring for Tet for the poor and people in difficult circumstances is a policy with profound humanistic meaning, showing the responsibility of the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and the joint efforts of the whole society, contributing to helping households celebrate the traditional Tet in a warm and fulfilling atmosphere.
This year, through the program, Hoa Trach commune has given 1,027 gifts with a total value of 897 million VND to poor households and vulnerable people. The funding was mobilized from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province, the "Day for the Poor" Fund, and contributions from agencies, businesses, philanthropists, and organizations and individuals in the area.
The activity contributes to consolidating the great national unity bloc, spreading the spirit of compassion, ensuring that everyone and every household can welcome Spring in a sharing and warm atmosphere.
