Extreme West border commune ready for the mountain and river festival

Sin Thau commune, Dien Bien province is a border commune established on the basis of merging 3 old communes (Sin Thau, Sen Thuong and Leng Su Sin).

Sin Thau has the westernmost border intersection of the Fatherland - A Pa Chai (Vietnam, Laos and China), this place is known as "a rooster crowing, 3 countries together listen".

Although the total natural area is over 51,643 hectares, the population is over 6,000 people, traffic is still difficult, and population distribution is not concentrated, election preparation work here is always prioritized.

To ensure the rights of voters, the Commune Election Committee has issued a resolution announcing the official list of candidates for the 21st term of the Commune People's Council, term 2026-2031.

Accordingly, Sin Thau has 26 candidates, elected 16 delegates. Currently, the Commune Election Committee has completed the official listing of candidates at each constituency in the area.

According to Mr. Dang Thanh Huy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Sin Thau commune, the candidate structure ensures the standards according to regulations, while paying attention to the proportion of women, young people and representatives of ethnic minorities in the area.

At the polling stations, equipment and means serving the election such as main ballot boxes, auxiliary ballot boxes, or various types of seals have been fully, promptly and in accordance with regulations prepared.

More than 3,500 voter cards have been issued, ensuring that all eligible citizens have the right to vote.

As a commune with a large number of ethnic minorities, the Party Committee and government of Sin Thau commune have mobilized village heads and reputable people to propagate the rights of each citizen when participating in elections.

Mr. Sung Chu Ca - Leng Su Sin village, Sin Thau commune said: "I have participated in voting many times, but each time I have my own feelings. Every time I hold the ballot in my hand, I clearly see my responsibility to the village. I believe my ballot will select worthy delegates.
