Da Nang - Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city visited and presented gifts to former political prisoners of Con Dao.
News from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City on December 20 said: within the framework of the Conference to summarize the activities of the Emulation Cluster of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of centrally-run cities in 2025, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City visited and presented gifts to former political prisoner Nguyen Xuan Vien - the only person living in Con Dao among the revolutionary soldiers who were arrested and detained by the enemy at Con Dao prison.
At Mr. Vien's residence, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Tri Thanh kindly visited his health and life and his family; and expressed his deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of Mr. Vien and his family for the cause of national liberation and national reunification.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city wished him and his family good health, continuing to promote revolutionary traditions, being a shining example of patriotism and steadfast will for today's and future generations to follow.
