Giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances at a festival in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot ward and philanthropists give gifts and cook porridge to distribute free to people in difficult circumstances.
On March 1st, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot ward organized the 10th "Sharing Love - Meaningful Affection for Thu Dau Mot Land" program. This is an activity within the series of charity programs in response to the full moon festival of the first lunar month.
At the program, the organizers presented 200 gifts including essential necessities to households in difficult circumstances, with a total budget of nearly 100 million VND. These gifts were contributed by organizations, businesses and philanthropists.
In addition, the organizers cooked 1,000 servings of green bean rib porridge and ginseng water to serve free of charge for people and tourists participating in the full moon festival of the first lunar month. Thereby, contributing to creating an image of a civilized, safe, and meaningful festival of Dat Thu.

Thu Dau Mot Ward People's Committee said that March 2nd and 3rd (February 14th and 15th of the lunar calendar) are the peak days of the full moon festival of the first lunar month, tens of thousands of people from many provinces and cities will come to Thu Dau Mot ward to participate in the festival.
At the festival, the organizers continued to implement many charity activities to serve the people. Notably, there will be 34 charity points at the festival to distribute food, drinks, incense and cold towels. The organizers also arranged 4 free motorbike taxi teams with about 40 volunteers on duty on the main roads to support people's movement. At the same time, they arranged free parking points for two peak days, January 14th and 15th of the lunar calendar.
