After listening to the reports from the units, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that today's meeting was held with the goal of being proactive, coordinating, unifying and assigning clear and synchronous tasks between forces, in order to effectively implement the work of responding to natural disasters, while preparing contingency plans in case of natural disasters.

Mr. Loc welcomed the Ho Chi Minh City Command and the Party's work in the armed forces for timely direction, sending forces to coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front, mobilizing forces on the spot to overcome the damage caused by the storm on the afternoon of July 20.

Welcomed the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City to quickly issue documents guiding the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the commune level to coordinate synchronously with the government to implement Decision 21 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on supporting and encouraging people affected by storm No. 3.

On that basis, sectors and levels base on their functions, tasks and authority to prepare plans at many levels: level 1 - serious, level 2 - very serious, level 3 - especially serious.

In the immediate future, the consequences of the storm must be overcome, especially the damaged houses of the people. The viewpoint is to support at each level, each target, and must be timely, prioritizing disadvantaged households.

The armed forces continue to preside over, coordinate and collude with local forces. If necessary, increase to 4-5 on-site.

Request the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City to coordinate with the Office of the City People's Committee to advise and propose the issuance of new regulations on support policies. Clearly identify that serving the people is the highest priority.

Mr. Loc emphasized that the entire political system, from the city to the locality, must be deployed as quickly and synchronously as possible to respond to storm No. 3.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City is requested to preside over and coordinate with organizations and departments to guide the facility to comply with the decision, and at the same time, review each affected household to help and overcome.

In addition, warning of post-storm circulation is extremely important, as it can pose risks in any area. Therefore, it is necessary to widely notify people to protect themselves and their families.

Industries need to carefully prepare response plans. When an incident occurs, we must react as quickly as possible and cooperate closely. The city needs to prepare both resources, human resources and material resources.
