Focus on allocating flood relief resources in Ha Tinh
After storm No. 10, Ha Tinh province has directed to focus on overcoming the consequences, while calling for support and implementing the allocation of relief funds to affected households.
According to the Ha Tinh Provincial Relief Fund Mobilization Committee, as of October 11, the unit has received support and registered to support nearly VND98 billion to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.
Of which, more than 79.08 billion VND has been donated; registered to support but not yet transferred, it is 18.8 billion VND. The Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee has allocated more than VND34.2 billion to localities.
According to the leader of the Ha Tinh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, along with the work of receiving and allocating relief sources, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee is directing and guiding localities and the Fatherland Front at all levels to review and classify subjects, ensuring the disbursement of funding sources to support overcoming the consequences of storms and floods in accordance with regulations, to the right subjects, ensuring publicity and transparency; contributing to helping people soon overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives.
Although it has focused on allocating relief sources. However, the implementation process encountered some difficulties due to the parallel implementation of many support sources; large number of affected households, large areas; limited number of responsible staff while the workload was too large.
Recently, Vingroup Corporation's Thien Tam Fund has also been continuing to donate to help people overcome the consequences of storms and floods in Ha Tinh and some other localities.
According to the report of the Ha Tinh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, up to now, 2,200 households in Ha Tinh have been transferred the first round of support money from Thien Tam Fund with a total amount of more than 44.3 billion VND.
Of which, 100 million VND/household was supported for some households with deaths; 60 million VND/household with completely collapsed houses; 20 million VND/household with houses with roofs blown off and severely damaged.
Thien Tam Fund is continuing to coordinate with sectors and localities to survey nearly 1,900 households in the second phase to conduct support in the coming time.
Previously, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province reported that the impact of storm No. 10 caused the whole Ha Tinh province to have 1 death, 31 injuries; 117,252 houses were damaged, thousands of houses were flooded.
425 schools, with 3,349 classrooms; 54 medical examination and treatment facilities; 583 cultural works, 87 historical and cultural relics damaged by storms, rain and floods.
5,250 power poles fell or broke; 163,839m of power lines were broken; 6,713 transformer stations were damaged. 3 ten-testers and 510 cable poles were broken; 215 stations were damaged.
223 livestock and 128,333 poultry died or were swept away; 210 tons of livestock and poultry feed were damaged and many barns were damaged.
818.55 hectares of vegetables, 6,523 ornamental plants of all kinds, 1577 hectares of perennial crops, 165 hectares of annual crops, 2,470 hectares of concentrated fruit trees, 74,400 trees were damaged, fallen, or damaged.
355.4 hectares of traditional fish farming area, 35 hectares of rice fish farming area, 2.5 hectares of plain-skinned fish farming area, 778.5 hectares of shrimp farming area, ... were damaged.
About 600m of dike, 3,560m of embankment, 115 culverts and balls were damaged; 17 dams, 12 pumping stations, 5,680m of riverbank and coast were eroded and damaged. There are 8,105 m of central traffic roads, 57,130 m of local traffic roads, 80 bridges and culverts damaged.
The total damage caused by storm No. 10 and floods after the storm in Ha Tinh is estimated at more than 7,000 billion VND.
