Khanh Hoa - A ward in the locality is building a digital map of polling stations so that people can quickly identify locations for the election of National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels.

On March 12, Ms. Tran Thi Hong Van - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Nha Trang ward (Khanh Hoa province) - said that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward and socio-political organizations have just launched a digital map system to help people look up 57 polling stations in the area in an intuitive and convenient way.

Accordingly, people only need to perform 3 simple steps to find the voting location including: Scan the QR code to open the map, select the "voice box" icon in their area and click "Road" to be guided by the system to the voting location.

The map system can be opened directly on the phone without installing additional applications.

According to Ms. Van, digital maps are built on an online map technology platform combined with actual local data.

All polling stations in the area have been digitized with coordinates and accurately attached to Google Maps satellite maps, helping people easily identify their locations.

On the map, each polling station is displayed with a red block icon, numbered from 01 to 57, corresponding to each specific polling area.

When you tap the icon on your phone, the system will display detailed information about the voting location such as cultural houses, schools or other public places.

At the same time, the direction function from the user's location to the polling station is also integrated.

Thanks to the integration of QR codes, people only need to scan the code to immediately access the map system, making searching faster and more convenient.

Building digital maps not only innovates the way information is provided but also creates maximum convenience for people when participating in elections.

Instead of having to search for information or ask for directions to the polling station, voters can proactively look up information right at home to determine the nearest polling station as well as convenient travel routes.

In addition, publicizing the location of polling stations on digital maps helps information to be transparent, unified, supports more scientific election organization and limits confusion between regions.

Representatives of Tay Nha Trang ward said that the application of technology in election activities also contributes to creating a modern atmosphere for the all-people festival, and at the same time encourages people, especially young people, to actively exercise their rights and citizens' obligations.

Local authorities also encourage people to save QR code images on their phones and share them with relatives and neighbors to conveniently look up polling stations before election day.
